The faculties of the University of Applied Sciences Landshut

There are five faculties in the university, which offer practice oriented undergraduate study programmes and a steadlily increasing number of postgraduate study programmes.

In addition to various Business and Social Work programmes, Landshut offers a particularly wide range of subjects in the technological sector. The competence in motor vehicle technology has become manfest in the creation of specialized courses in all technical faculties. The light weight construction sector is steadily increasing in importance in the industry. In 2001 BMW donated a professorship in light weight construction to the University of Applied Sciences Landshut. Special lightweight materials and lightweight constructions are being developed and tested in the centre of competence for light weight construction. Microelectronics and automation are additional main subjects.

Moreover, the university offers a wide range of further education particularly to graduates who aim at leadership positions or who want to improve their opportunities in the labour market, master courses as well as classes like IT-Update or “Integrative Organisations Consultant”.
